Mulberry built an early 7-2 lead and coasted to the win over Babiarz. Pete Glowacki, Ed DeMaio (4 RBI’s) and Tom Bortle (2 RBI’s) led the way with 4 hits each. Ed Haith contributed 3 hits/2 RBI’s while 5 other players had 2 hits each. Pitcher Jim Moyer (solo homerun), Chuck Mays and Vince Pezzulo all had 2 hits in the loss for Babiarz.
SOFTBALL’S-R-GAME 7 SYNERGY 5
SRG scored twice in the top of the 7th inning to pull out this victory. Mike Labetti led the way with 3 hits while Bill Nisbet, Jack Marx and Dean Hooker each added 2 hits. In the loss, manager Vernon Brooks had 3 hits for Synergy and Doug Aikey, John Reedy, Mark Rich, Tom Fulton and Tom LeDoux each chipped in with 2 hits.
FROSS & FROSS 18 ARDEN 2 in 5 INNINGS
Pitcher Jim Joseph scattered 7 hits and drove in 3 runs to lead the way in the romp over Arden. Sub Vince Patterson had 3 hits while John Gouin, Jack Manter (2 RBI’s), Ed Chirumbolo, Dave Pope (2 RBI’s) and Carl McWilliams (4 RBI’s) all added 2 hits for the winners. No one on Arden had more than 1 hit.

Pitcher Rick Stensen (4 RBI’s) and Jim Wheeler led Perkins in this win. Denis Hodge and Jim Morton (2 RBI’s) helped with 2 hits each. In the loss PRD was led by John Barracato’s 3 hits while Chick Cicatelli, Bob Buchanan and pitcher Jim Glover each added 2 hits.
HARLAN 8 IHOP 7
Harlan held off a 7th inning rally by IHOP to just pull off this victory. Perkins was led by Tom Ceglie and Al DuBuc who each had 2 hits while Craig Dahlquist drove in 3 runs. IHOP was led by pitcher Jim Lambert (2 RBI’s), Larry Williams and Mark Goodwin(2 RBI’s) who each had 2 hits.
HUMANA 12 3AMIGOS 11
In the most exciting game of the day, Humana scored 4 in the 6th and 3 in the bottom of the 7th in a walk off win over 3Amigos. After Humana scored 4 in the 6th to take a 1 run lead, 3Amigos came back to take a 2 run lead in the top of the 7th on a dramatic 2 out, 3 run homer by Bud Ramsey. Not to be out done, Humana came back in the bottom of the inning to tie the game and then win it in walk off fashion on a 2 out double by pitcher Carlos Lopez driving in the winning run all the way from first base. Chuck Bowman led the win with 4 hits while Tom McGann, Dave Oatley, Jim Kennedy, John Hoover and Carlos Lopez each had 2 hits. In the loss Bud Ramsey had 2 hits, including the home run and 4 RBI’s while Mark Hildebrand (2 RBI’s) and manager Wayne Grunewald each had 3 hits. John Plunkard and Jack Nagle each added 2 hits.
