Babiarz handed Perkins their first loss of the season

Manager Bob Winder’s walk off single in the bottom of the 7th inning handed Perkins their first loss of the season. As the only one loss team, Perkins still holds sole possession of first place in the CFL. Ray Nemetz led the winners with 3 hits while Bob Winder (2 RBI’s), sub Dick Smith, Bill Naasz and Vince Pezzullo all added 2 hits. In the loss, Perkins got 2 hits each from John Buchanan, manager Gordie Lewis, Rick Stensen, Jim Wheeler and Jim Morton.

 

HUMANA 13  SYNERGY WEALTH 12 In 8 innings

With 2 outs and nobody on base, Humana mounted an improbable rally and scored 2 runs on a walk off, bases loaded single by Bob Jacques. They were led by Bob Roth’s 3 hits and 2 hits each from Bill Yeager, Jim Kennedy, pitcher Carlos Lopez, Tom McGann and John Hoover. Snyergy got 4 hits from Jim Gordon and 3 more from Tom Fulton in the loss. In addition, Dick Petula, sub Dan MacPherson and Skeeter Aikey each chipped in with 2 hits.

 

IHOP 20  MULBERRY MEDICINE 14

IHOP scored in each of the first 6 innings to outpace Mulberry. Pitcher Jim Lambert led the win with 4 hits and 2 RBI’s. Six other players each had 3 hits, sub Gene Guerriero, returning snowbird Joe Cataldi (2 RBI’s), Wayne Mallory (2 RBI’s),Bill Reed, Ed Berheimer (3 RBI’s) and Dennis Bauch (3 RBI’s). Ed Haith led Mulberry with 4 hits and 4 RBI’s while sub pitcher Jim Joseph, Pete Glowacki, Ed DeMaio, Paul Justice, George Loew, Tom Guinan and Tom Bortle each added 2 hits.

 

ARDEN JEWELER’S 7  HARLAN INSURANCE 2

Arden scored 6 early runs and held Harlan to a mere 2 runs for the victory. Manny Sanchez and David Blanford led the winners with 3 hits each while Terry Yanny, Don Mulneix, Tom Winegarden and John Wyks each had 2 hits. Harlan’s bats were quiet in this contest but Tom Ceglie and Tim Healy each managed 2 hits.

 

PAUL DAVIS RESTORATION 14  3AMIGOS 11

Dick Adams had 4 hits for PDR while Chick Cicitelli (2 RBI’s), Bob Buchanan (2 RBI’s), Lew Burhans (2 RBI’s) and Mike Daly each banged out 3 hits. Gary DePalma added a homerun. In the loss, Jim Faggiano had 3 hits including a homerun and 2 RBI’s. Al Mahar, Dave Hinkley and Bud Ramsey each added 3 hits of their own. Five other players added 2 hits each.

 

FROSS & FROSS 19  SOFTBALL’S-R-GAME 12

Fross outscored SRG 13 to 4 over the final innings to score this win. Dave Pope had the hot bat for Fross with 4 hits, including a homerun and 4 RBI’s. Jack Manter (3 RBI’s) and Gary Coleman also added 3 hits each. SRG was led by Bill Nisbet, returning snowbird Scott Marshall (2 RBI’s) and Ren Saculla (2 RBI’s) who each had 3 hits. Four other players added 2 hits each.
