As the only one loss team, Perkins still holds sole possession of first place in the CFL. Ray Nemetz led the winners with 3 hits while Bob Winder (2 RBI’s), sub Dick Smith, Bill Naasz and Vince Pezzullo all added 2 hits. In the loss, Perkins got 2 hits each from John Buchanan, manager Gordie Lewis, Rick Stensen, Jim Wheeler and Jim Morton.

With 2 outs and nobody on base, Humana mounted an improbable rally and scored 2 runs on a walk off, bases loaded single by Bob Jacques. They were led by Bob Roth’s 3 hits and 2 hits each from Bill Yeager, Jim Kennedy, pitcher Carlos Lopez, Tom McGann and John Hoover. Snyergy got 4 hits from Jim Gordon and 3 more from Tom Fulton in the loss. In addition, Dick Petula, sub Dan MacPherson and Skeeter Aikey each chipped in with 2 hits.

Harlan’s bats were quiet in this contest but Tom Ceglie and Tim Healy each managed 2 hits.
