Sand and water poured into gas tank of vehicle parked at Villages hotel 

Lady Lake police are investigating a report that a mixture of sand and water was poured into a vehicle’s gas tank.

The vehicle was parked last month at the La Hacienda Hotel on Avenida Central in The Villages.

The vehicle owner’s, who resides in Sarasota, reported the damage was done sometime Nov. 7 or 8.

The vehicle’s owner reported the damage on Dec. 7. Damage was estimated at $1,600.
