Gate arm knocked down at Morse Gate at County Road 466

The gate arm was down Thursday afternoon at the Morse Boulevard gate at County County Road 466.

The topic of knocked-down gate arms was mentioned Wednesday morning at a Villages Homeowners Association safety clinic.

“It costs $200 a pop to repair these gates, and you know where that money is coming from? Right out of our amenities fees,” said Mark Gallo, VHA assistant director for Region 7.

About 2,400 gate arms are knocked down each year, according to Community Watch.
