Congressman Daniel Webster may be auditioning to be The Villages Congressman when he speaks Thursday evening at Savannah Center.
The Winter Garden Republican currently represents District 10 which has been carved up and looks much more Democrat-friendly. There has been speculation that he will jump to District 11 which includes The Villages and is currently represented by Congressman Rich Nugent. Nugent is not running for re-election and has endorsed former chief of staff Justin Grabelle, whose parents are Villagers.
Webster will speak at 6:30 p.m. Thursday to The Villages Conservative Action Group (formerly the Tri-County Tea Party Florida.)
A question-and-answer session will also be part of the evening’s meeting.
