New employees got a lesson in Lone Star State hospitality this week ahead of the opening of the new Texas Roadhouse restaurant.
The restaurant on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 near Sam’s Club will open on March 14.
Staffers engaged in training combined with a day to bring their families to the new restaurant to enjoy its trademark cuisine.
“We’re very family-oriented, so we wanted employees to have a chance to bring their kids and parents to see where they will be working,” said Texas Roadhouse assistant service manager Ashley Baker.
That included showing new employees how to perform the Texas Roadhouse dance.
Miranda Ford took employees out to the parking lot and gave them all a dancing.

Texas Roadhouse will be open from 3 to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; from 3 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday; from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
The restaurant has been developed by the Benchmark Group which has developed Best Buy, Kohl’s and other retail in that immediate area.
