A Villager surprised two burglars he discovered in his home this weekend in the Village of Polo Ridge.
The incident happened at a home on Atwell Avenue. The homeowner left his home at approximately 7:45 p.m. Saturday and returned at 8:15 p.m., according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
The homeowner saw two men in his residence wearing something over their faces attempting to conceal their identity. The men ran from the residence after they were spotted. The suspects apparently entered the residence from the rear.
The incident remains under investigation.
