Donald Devries Robosson

Donald Devries Robosson, The Villages, FL, born on March 17, 1913, passed away peacefully at Brandley House Hospice on Saturday March 26, 2016. He was born in Randlestown and grew up on a farm and described that time as the happiest of his live. He survived the Great Depression in New York City and was proud that he never had to sleep on the street and always had a $5.00 bill in his shoe. He married the love of his life, Helen Christopher and they had over 50 wonderful years together until she passed away in 1996. He worked as a civil servant with the US Post Office for 35 years. Upon retirement they moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas. Don loved golf, playing his first game at 85, amazed at his first hole in one. He was an avid bridge and chess player, winner of many matches and a proud member of the NRA. He moved to The Villages in 2000 and lived in Arlington Villages.

He is survived by one son, Jim Robosson and his wife, Betty, Summerfield, Florida; four grandchildren, Lorrie Nance (Dave), West Virginia, Jim Robosson, Jr., Pennsylvania, Kevin Robosson (Tara), Kill Devil Hills, SC, Nikki Lamb (Jared) Maryland; five great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren. He will be laid to rest in Hot Springs, Arkansas next to his beloved, Helen.
