Doris Miller has been taking care of her aged mother for eons. When her mother dies, Doris (Sally Field) has the chance to start a life of her own even if she is dowdy, thresholds sixty, and works on the lowest rung of the corporate ladder as a data entry clerk.

She becomes infatuated the company’s new art director, John (Max Greenfield) in his mid-forties. sShe stalks him through Facebook abetted by her 13 year-old niece.  Their not-so-by-chance meetings away from the office sparks a friendship which Doris fanaticizes as romantic.

We all know where this is going to end, but do not let this deter you from seeing this flick. Field is on the silver screen 95 percent of the time and has the talent to ace this part. You will be pulling for Doris to succeed in her adventures at some level.  After all, there is a bit of Doris in all of us.

This is a great Date-Night dramatic-comedy movie and gets my recommendation.  It is currently running at the Rialto Theater in The Villages.
