Orrin J. Welty, 93, of Summerfield, FL, passed away April 14, 2016. He was the husband of the late Veldine Welty who passed in 2015 after nearly 67 years of marriage.
Born in Lima, Ohio, he was the son of the late Orrin S. and Wanda (Cramer) Welty.
Orrin was a retired finance manager for Ford Motor Credit Co. He was of the Methodist faith and attended Greater Faith Fellowship, Longwood, FL. He was a member of the Men’s Bible Study Group, The Fountain Singers, the Sunshine Boys, the Poker Club and Chaplain of the Veteran’s Club in the Spruce Creek Golf & Country Club. He was a member of the American Legion, Eighth Air Force Historical Society and Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Carol Nicholas (Leonard) of Sanford, FL. He has 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandson.
