A Village of Sunset Pointe resident let her Community Development District supervisors know she is tired of “nit picking” in her neighborhood.
Sandra McKillop who lives on Andrews Avenue has been the subject of periodic complaints about lawn ornaments in her yard. Most recently it was a decorative ball. Before that it was an ornamental pelican.
The latest complaint prompted another visit to McKillop’s home by Community Standards. McKillop moved the offending ball under the curtilage to come back into compliance.
She told CDD 6 supervisors Friday morning that a neighbor has repeatedly and anonymously turned her into Community Standards for minor infractions.
“It boils me to no end,” she said.
She wondered out loud why anyone would do such a thing.
“Either they are jealous of my property or they don’t have enough to do,” she said. She recommended people with time on their hands could do some good with volunteer work.
She also questioned the anonymous complaint system.
“I think we have a right to know who is turning us in,” she said.
