Softball’s R Game win streak continues as they come from behind to defeat Buffalo Crossing in the bottom of the seventh inning 12-11.
The winning run scored on Jim Harrison’s second sacrifice fly of the game. SRG was led by Rick Duemler and Jim Meyer, who each had 3 hits. Jim Stencil; sub, Jim Weigand; and pitcher, Ed Krisha added 2 hits apiece for the victors. Buffalo Crossing lead off batter, Vinny Caso, had 4 hits; while, Randy Murgittroyd and Bill Reed chipped in 3 hits each.
IHOP beats Synergy Wealth 19-15.
IHOP’s Jack Meagher had four hits and four rbi’s to lead the offense. Dave Oatley, Craig Dahlquist, Jim Glover, Art Anton, and subs: Dick Stieglitz and Manny Sanchez, all had 3 hits in the win. Synergy got three hits from Jack Coit, Vinny Pezzullo, and John Barracato. Al DuBuc and Dave Williams added two hits each.
Fross & Fross got on the winning track with a 16-12 win over second place Babiarz Law.
The Fross hitting leaders were: Bud Ramsey, Chuck Alexander, Jim Morton, Mike Hyott, and Jack Nagle with 3 hits each. Don Mulneix; manager, Al Deibler; pitcher, Bob Marano; Paul DiJulio; and, sub, Bob DePace stroked 2 hits apiece. Babiarz scored 7 runs in the bottom of the seventh; but, couldn’t overcome the 11 run lead of Fross & Fross. Babiarz was led by the three hits each of Don Melcher, Bob Green, and George Kennedy. Jeff Bekasi and manager, Ed Moriarity, chipped in 2 hits for the losers.
Mulberry Integrative Medicine won it’s second game of the season defeating Harlan Insurance 16-6.
Bill DiCarlo, Bob Roth, R.J. Jackson, and Rick Poland all had 3 hits for Mulberry. Mark Hildebrand, Chuck Bowman, John Hoover, and Tom Bortle all added 2 hits in the win. Harlan was held to only 11 hits with Pete Glowacki and Jim Fellabaum collecting 2 each.
