Previously unbeaten Humana lost to Palm Ridge Dental 18-13, leaving Arden Jewelers and Paul Davis Restorations as the only undefeated teams.
Palm Ridge got three hits and two rbi’s from: Ed Haith, George Loew, Dave Williams, and Bill Naasz. Ray Bedford had 3 hits and 3 rbi’s and, and sub, Jim Kennedy, had 2 hits and 3 runs batted in for the winners. Humana’s lead off man, Ed Chirumbolo, had 3 hits on the day. Chuck Bowman, Dave Oatley, manager, Jim Sherman, and sub, Mike Bernbach, each had 2 hits.
IHOP defeated Babiarz Law 18-6.
Mark Rich, batting lead off, had 4 hits as did Gary Roth. Roth had 4 runs batted in, as did Rich Bergman, who had 3 hits. Manny Sanchez and Mike Hyott also had 3 hits for IHOP. Sub pitcher, Bill Landis, held Babiarz to 6 runs on 12 hits. Ed Moriarity had 3 of those from his lead off spot. Chuck Mays, manager, Bob Winder, and sub, Jim Joseph, each got 2 hits in the loss.
Paul Davis Restorations doubled up Synergy Wealth 16-8.
Paul Davis got three hits each by: Bob Buchanan, Don Mulneix, Don Melcher, Jack Meagher, Gary DePalma, and Vin Stebbins. Melcher led off the 5th inning with a homer. Synergy’s John Reedy had 4 hits and 4 rbi’s. Jim Creed had 3hits and Jim Glover and Peter Davidson had 2 each in the loss.
Buffalo Crossing put on a hitting clinic as they defeated Fross & Fross 25-13.
Jim Wiegand and Randy Bowen were perfect with 5 hits each, as were Bob Jacques and sub, Bill DiCarlo, who had 4-4 days. Manager, John Leone, had 4 hits with a triple and a homer to drive in 5 runs; and, Jack Coit’s 4 hits drove in 3 runs. Fross & Fross had 3 hits each by: John Gouin, Dave Pope, Jim Wheeler, and John Wyks. Ron Rowe led off the home half of the first inning with a home run in his first at bat this season.
Arden Jewelers bested Softball’s R Game 19-6.
Bill Reed and Pat Perkins each had 4 hits, Reed driving in 3 runs while Perkins drove in 4 with a triple and a homer. Dave Hinkley, Mark Hildebrand, and John Hoover all had 3 hits and drove in 8 runs. Softball’s R Game sub, Randy Murgittroyd, had 3 hits; while, Don Brozick, Bob Holbert, and, George Kennedy had 2 hits in the loss.
