A 77-year-old Mount Dora man died after suffering a heart attack while driving at 12:34 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 75 in Marion County.
Arthur Francis Young suffered the heart attack while driving south near Mile Marker 364, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
His wife, 74-year-old Anita Elaine Young, attempted to take control of the 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, but it left the roadway and struck a tree.
Arthur Young was transported to UF Shands Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Young’s wife told an FHP investigator that he had a history of heart-related issues. Anita Elaine Young escaped injury.
