To the Editor:
Why are people speeding, tailgating, running red lights, stop signs, golf carts passing golf carts, people recklessly moving into traffic, crossing solid white lines, double yellow lines, honking, cursing each other, etc.! Miles to go before you sleep? Robert Frost’s poem, Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening, lines 15and 16 are; “The woods are lovely, dark and deep/But I have promises to keep/And miles to go before I sleep/And miles to go before I sleep.” It’s about a traveler entering a remote area where the weather is soothing, the scene is bewitching and he wants to stay for a while. (The Villages?) Most agree that the poem’s tone is calm, dreamy and soothing. Sounds like some of the things that attracted many of us to The Villages. You will definitely get there, in the end, no matter what!. Why the hurry? (By the way, it’s only a few too many, but they are very noticeable.)
