The Israel Solidarity Committee of Temple Shalom will present the film “Above and Beyond,” followed by a discussion at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7 at Temple Shalom located at 13562 Country Road 101 in Oxford. The film chronicles a little-known slice of history. The documentary looks at a diverse group of veteran World War ll pilots who defied the U.S. Neutrality Act and volunteered to fly for Israel at a critical moment in its battle for independence in the 1948 war.
