To the Editor:
It is truly a shame that The Village Lifelong Learning College has shut down as it was very important to many Villagers. The reason given was that we wouldn’t or couldn’t conform to the Disability Act for the hearing impaired. But no explanation has ever been given as to what was so onerous in the law that caused The Learning Center to be closed by the Developer. I think we should know the answer to that question and also if the possibility exists it could affect our recreational centers as well. Why hasn’t Mr. Morse or Janet Tutt stated why The Learning College was closed?
