The soon-to-be newest restaurant addition to Lady Lake is a familiar pizza brand that has a strong national presence.
Domino’s Pizza, the national pizza brand that currently sports over 10,000 locations worldwide, will open a new location along U.S. Highway 27 in Lady Lake. Located in between Subway and Autozone, the location was built on property that formerly housed a gas station.
The new location will showcase a “pizza theater,” an experience that Domino’s began implementing in their franchises in recent years. The theaters allow customers to view pizzas while they are being made, with a wall-less kitchen and dine-in seating peppered throughout.
The new store type is the company’s response to what they have suggested is the a dynamic change in the way people order pizza. A promotional video for franchise owners suggests that “twenty years ago, carry out was less than 10% [of Domino’s Customers],” while currently, carry out comprises 40% of all orders.
