An Ocala man has been sentenced to seven months in jail in connection with the theft of appliances in November from Lowe’s home improvement store in Lady Lake.
Daryl Shane Williams, 45, of Ocala was sentenced this past week in Sumter County Court in connection with the case.
A Lowe’s employee spotted Williams and a woman loading the appliances into a truck bed at a storage area directly behind the store. They also loaded a table onto the truck, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
During a traffic stop, Williams admitted to a deputy his driver’s license was suspended.He told the deputy he believed the appliances were scrap and he was planning to resell them.
