A Community Development District 3 supervisor said he has gotten plenty of feedback supporting his recent remarks encouraging bringing about the end of the Multi-modal Path Discussion Group.

The group, which includes representation from the Amenity Authority Committee and CDDs 1-10, is tentatively scheduled to meet in March. At that meeting, the group is going to take on the divisive issue of speed bumps on the multi-modal paths in The Villages.

On Friday, CDD 3 Supervisor Gail Lazenby said he has had positive feedback about statements he made last month about disbanding the Multi-modal Path Discussion Group. You can read more about that HERE

In 2015, the group struggled through the contentious issue of side striping, ultimately opting to make no changes to the multi-modal paths.

Some supervisors fear that they could be setting the stage for another entrenched battle.

In CDD 2 on Friday, Supervisor Bryan Lifsey offered a report he compiled on speed bumps of special concern in his District. You can read Lifsey’s report  HERE
