An 83-year-old Villager reported money and credit cards were stolen from her purse while she was staying at Lady Lake Specialty Care.
The woman said she had lost the key to a lockable bedside table and had been keeping her purse at her bedside and hidden under pillows when she went to therapy.
On Monday, she discovered a Visa card issued by Citizens First Bank and a Discover card were missing from her purse, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
She had previously noticed cash was missing from her purse, but did not report it because she was “thankful” her credit cards had not been taken.
