A 26-year-old Lady Lake woman was arrested after allegedly punching and slapping her live-in boyfriend over text messages she had received from her ex-husband.
Lady Lake police were called to a home on Skyline Drive at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday where they arrested Tausha Lee Aceituno on a charge of battery.
She said her live-in boyfriend began calling her names during a fight over the text messages. That’s when she allegedly began striking her. He had to “bear hug” her and bring her to the ground to protect himself.
She was booked at the Lake County Jail.
