Lady Lake police have tracked down a man believed to have stolen the phone of a female manager at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant more than a year ago.
The manager had placed her personal Samsung S6 on the bar at the restaurant on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 on Feb. 15, 2016 when she went to speak with someone else. When she returned a few minutes later, her phone was gone.

James Nicone, 42, had been in the bar area at the time and left, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. A police officer spotted three phones in what was believed to have been the vehicle Nicone had been using, but the manager looked through the window of the vehicle and indicated none of them were her phone. An officer located Nicone and conducted a voluntary patdown of him, which did not turn up anything.
An examination of video surveillance from inside the restaurant showed Nicone apparently picking up the phone. A warrant was obtained for his arrest.
Earlier this week, Nicone was taken into custody in Marion County on a charge of grand theft. He was booked at the Marion County Jail.
