Three teenagers were turned over to their mothers after a traffic stop on a vehicle turned up burnt marijuana cigarettes.

A black Chevy SUV was pulled over at about 4 a.m. Sunday at the parking lot of Chili’s on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 in The Villages.

When a police officer approached the vehicle, the officer detected the smell of marijuana. A bong and two burnt marijuana cigarettes were found in the vehicle, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

The driver, 18-year-old Eduardo Salvador Luna-Guareno was issued a notice to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana.

Two 15-year-olds and a 14-year-old who had been riding in the vehicle, were turned over to their mothers, the report indicated.
