A 54-year-old Villages of Parkwood man has been arrested in the alleged theft of sausage, toilet paper and dog food this week from Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza.
Bruce Alan Halliday entered the store Thursday morning and was detained by the store’s loss prevention officer after he did not pay for Scott’s toilet tissue and Hillshire Farms sausage, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. It was also determined that on Tuesday Halliday had taken a 12-pack of canned Pedigree dog food, but had not been detained, the report indicated.
Halliday was arrested on two counts of petit theft and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $1,000 bond.
