Taylor Nicole Malin, 20, had been a passenger in a car that had been pulled over at about 2 a.m. after a police officer suspected the driver may have been impaired, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

The driver, 19-year-old David Anthony Lee of Leesburg, told the officer that he had been attempting to load a CD into the player and it might have caused him to swerve over the line.

A K-9 alerted on the vehicle indicating the presence of drugs.

Malin was found to be in possession of Oxycodone, Amphetamine, Dextroamphetamine, a marijuana blunt cigar and a glass smoking device.

Lee had a loaded Raven .25 semi-automatic handgun in the center console. The gun had a round in the chamber and five rounds in the magazine.

“The handgun was not secured in any way in the center console and was ready to fire,” the arrest report said.

Both Malin and Lee were taken into custody and booked at the Lake County Jail.
