Doris Ann McGrath Austin, 77, of Lady Lake, FL, went to be with the Lord and her family on Sunday, September 3, 2017. Doris is the daughter of the late Clarence D. and Edwina L. McGrath born July 25, 1940.

Doris grew up in Clifton Height, PA and graduated from Clifton Heights High School in 1958 as an Honor Student. She attended St. Stephens Episcopal Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.

Doris began her business career at State Farm Insurance Co. and then moved to First Federal of Miami personnel dept. There she was responsible for hiring in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Doris retired from the Broward County School System. Doris was active in Saint Marks Episcopal Church and School in Fort Lauderdale.

Doris is a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church in The Villages, FL. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 358 Clifton Height, PA and the Pompano Beach, FL Elks.

On April 22, 1961 Doris married the love of her life, Charles “Chuck” Valentine Austin, Jr. and is survived by her husband; a daughter Kathleen Ann (Thomas) Vermillion of Moneta, VA; and a son Kyle Matthew Austin of Pompano Beach, FL.
