A 26-year-old Summerfield woman is being held without bond at the Lake County Jail for violating her probation on a charge of grand retail theft.
Megan Bateman was booked Thursday after her arrest by Lake County sheriff’s deputies.
Bateman had been arrested in May at Belk at La Plaza Grande in The Villages. She was later sentenced to two years probation in the case.
On Aug. 8, an affidavit of violation of probation was filed in Lake County Court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
In 2016, Bateman was arrested in the failed theft of power drills, clothing and cosmetics at Wal-Mart in Leesburg. She had also been sentenced to probation in that case.
