A 48-year-old Fort McCoy man died at the scene of an accident Monday in Marion County.
Rodney Edward Booth had been at the wheel of a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee at 5:30 p.m. that was traveling southbound on NE 170 Avenue Road, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. For reasons still to be determined the vehicle traveled off the right shoulder, collided with several small trees and subsequently overturned. Booth was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the the scene.
