The Southwest Florida Water Management District’s Governing Board has agreed to lift once-per-week watering and other stringent water restrictions as of Sunday, Oct. 1 in The Villages.

The Villages will be on year-round water conservation measures, with lawn watering limited to twice-per-week.

Here’s the watering schedule for The Villages:

CDD 1: Even Addresses: Tuesday/Friday
Odd Addresses: Monday/Thursday

CDD 2: Even Addresses: Tuesday/Friday
Odd Addresses: Monday/Thursday

CDD 3: Even Addresses: Tuesday/Saturday
Odd Addresses: Wednesday/Sunday

CDD 4: Even Addresses: Thursday/Sunday
Odd Addresses: Wednesday/Saturday

CDDs 5-12: Even Addresses: Irrigation schedules vary by house, refer to sticker on irrigation controller

Watering should take place 12 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.

FOR LAKE COUNTY Villagers (through Nov. 5)
Even Addresses: Thursday/Sunday
Odd Addresses: Wednesday/Saturday

The stiffer restrictions were put in place in June due to a drought. Mother Nature turned things around in the summer and a 10-inch rainfall from Hurricane Irma was the icing on the cake.
