A 17-year-old was arrested after allegedly displaying a weapon during a road rage incident Thursday afternoon near Sam’s Club in Lady Lake.

A 911 call was received after a blue Nissan Sentra was twice cut off by a bronze Ford Explorer on U.S. Hwy. 27/441, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. A verbal confrontation followed and the driver of the Sentra pulled out and waved what appeared to be a semi automatic weapon.

A woman in the Explorer began using her phone to take video of the Sentra while pursing the vehicle onto Fennell Boulevard and Veteran’s Way.  A dispatcher told the man driving the Explorer to stop following the Sentra. They went to Sam’s Club where they made contact with a Lady Lake police officer.

Soon a report of a man with a gun came from the nearby Quarters Apartments.

The Sentra was spotted in Leesburg and Lenny X. Harris was taken into custody. He was booked at the Lake County Jail where bond was set at $4,000.

The weapon turned out to be a BB gun.
