A well-known Villages podiatrist is free on bond following his arrest on a drunk driving charge in the early morning hours of Thanksgiving.
Dr. Felix J. Esarey, 49, who resides in the Villages of Parkwood, was released from the Lake County Jail at 2:16 a.m. Thanksgiving Day after posting $1,000 bond.
He was arrested shortly after midnight in Fruitland Park by Lake County sheriff’s deputies.
The Western Michigan University alum operates Tri-County Podiatry at Sarasota Plaza on County Road 466A in The Villages.
After completing his residency program at James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa, in 1999 Esarey began practicing in both Leesburg and The Villages. Esarey founded Tri-County Podiatry in 2006.
He is due for arraignment on the DUI charge on Dec. 12 in Lake County Court.
