Sam’s Club in Lady Lake was evacuated at about 11 a.m. today after smoke was reported.
Lake County Fire Rescue and the Villages Public Safety Department responded to the scene.
A faulty air conditioning unit was blamed.
Three people were transported to local hospitals.
