Two men who had not been wearing their seatbelts were arrested during a traffic stop in which drugs were discovered.
Alfred Henry Corbin, 40, and Melvin Tyrone Patterson Jr., 26, had been traveling in a white Ford pickup at 12:16 p.m. Wednesday when they were pulled over for the seatbelt violations, according to arrest reports from the Wildwood Police Department. The vehicle also had illegally tinted windows.
Corbin was spotted pouring Bud Light beer into a marijuana grinder in an attempt to flush it out.
A K-9 alerted on the vehicle, leading to the discovery of a bag containing 1.2 grams of marijuana. And a brown liquid which tested positive for THC.
Both men were taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
