Roselyn Shelley, at the age of 77, of The Villages, FL, suddenly passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018. Roselyn was born on July 3, 1940 in Middletown, Connecticut and has called this area her home since 2000. She lived on a local horse farm with her daughter and two grandchildren, and moved into The Villages in 2017.
She helped her daughter breed, sell, and show horses. Besides Roselyn’s love for horses, she fell in love with dancing and performed with the Mystic Jewels throughout the area and around The Villages.
Long before horses and dancing she was in business, working as a corporate property manager and then as a realtor in the area. She then helped her daughter open and run her own business.
She is survived by her son Mark Shelley, daughter Jennifer Spratt, grandchildren Andrew Shelley, Samantha Shelley, Gabriella Spratt, and Felicia Spratt. She also leaves her special companion, Richard Furbush and his family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 4:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable donations be made in Roselyn’s name to Hillcrest School in Ocala, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
