
Deborah Lee Pashley, of Leesburg, FL, formerly of Cooperstown, NY, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Leesburg Regional Medical Center with family by her side. She was born on April 11, 1956 in Cooperstown, NY, the daughter of Leslie and Ethel (Phoenix) Weir.
Oaksville/Fly Creek and Cooperstown were home to Deborah for most of her life. She was the familiar face of Laura’s Diner (Hartwick, NY) and CVS Pharmacy (Cooperstown, NY), before moving to Leesburg, FL.
She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her five grandchildren. She also enjoyed music, playing cards and anything outdoors. She was loved by many and became fast friends with everyone she met. Above all, Deborah took great joy and loved cooking and baking for family and friends.
Deborah is survived by her children, Daniel and Bobbie Bissell, Melissa Pashley (Colby), Michael Pashley, Catherine Pashley (Mike); grandchildren, Elizabeth, William, Lynzee, Addison and Garet; her mother, Ethel Weir; her sisters, Kim (Matt) Jennings and Laurie (Joe) Pestar; a brother, Mark (Xiaolie) Weir. She also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, caregivers and friends. Especially good friends, Boyd, Peter, Cheryl and Mary Bissell and John and Elaine Ford.
She was predeceased by her father, Leslie D. Weir, in 2005 and a niece, Kristen M. Phillips, in 2005.
A gathering to celebrate Deborah’s life will take place on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 1 p.m., at the Holiday Travel Resort’s boathouse, Leesburg, FL.
