A 95-year-old resident of Del Webb Spruce Creek has been the victim of fraud.
The man’s home health agent contacted the Marion County Sheriff’s Office after she noted suspicious checks written to “various unknown people,” according to an incident report.
He said he had been contacted by phone by someone who told him he had to send money to release winnings to which he was entitled.
The incident report did not indicate the amount of money he had sent.
