Lissante ‘Lissa’ P. Botsko

Lissante (Lissa) Botsko passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 in The Villages Regional Hospital. She was just 2 months shy of her 79th birthday. Lissa’s death came suddenly and with great surprise due to previously undetected advanced metastatic liver cancer. She leaves a grieving family and many, many friends and neighbors from whom she derived delight, great joy, and happiness and to whom she provided even more. Lissa was born and raised in Washington, DC where she graduated from Holton Arms Academy and American University.

Lissa was a gentle, loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who pursued a professional life in management positions in which she more than excelled. She was the first woman to hold the position of overall operations manager for two well known retail firms in Silver Spring, MD, Rochester, NY and Dearborn, MI. In addition she owned and operated automotive businesses in Fairfax, VA where she resided for over 20 years prior to retiring to Harbor Hills here in Central Florida for the past 15 years.

Lissa loved to travel and to entertain. She especially loved playing cards of all kinds and winning most of the time. In all of her travels she considered Hawaii her favorite destination where she adored the scenery and above all the exotic flora.

Lissa is survived by her husband of 45 years, the love of her life, Richard, her son and daughter-in-law Royce and Bonnie LoBianco, her daughter and son-in-law Lissante LoBianco and Charles Grieshaber, her brilliant grandchildren Francesca and Royce Jr. LoBianco, her sister Katharine Crawley, sister-in-law Katherine Boyle (Ronald), and brother-in-law Anthony LoBianco (Carol). She is preceded in death by her parents Royce and Louise Powell, her sister Julie, her beautiful granddaughter, Kristina and her first husband Frances LoBianco.

Services will be held at a later date.
