Police called to The Quarters Apartments after quarreling couple returns home from Bikefest

Jason McGill

Police were called to The Quarters Apartments after a quarreling couple returned home from Leesburg Bikefest.

Officers responded early Saturday morning to the apartment complex in Lady Lake.

Jason P. McGill, 35, and a woman had been arguing when they returned home. McGill placed his hand on the woman’s face and began squeezing, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

During the investigation, McGill kept yelling at the woman, ordering her to “shut up.”

When officers attempted to take McGill into custody he began “yelling and screaming” and kicked and flailed his body when he was put into a patrol car.

He was arrested on charges of domestic battery and resisting arrest. He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $2,000 bond.
