Marion County firefighters battled a blaze at a Belleview home that had flames shooting from the structure when they arrived Monday night.

When Station 18’s engine company pulled up to the 1,600-square-foot home at 7:13 p.m., firefighters also found a propane tank venting on the side of the residence, which is located in the 3800 block of Southeast 126th Place.
According to a report from Marion Fire Rescue, firefighters attacked the blaze inside the home while an additional hose line was deployed to cool the propane tank.

Additional units from Spruce Creek Station 30, Villages of Marion Station 10 and Shady Station 16 also were called to battle the blaze.
The fire was under control at 7:59 p.m. and there were no injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s office.
