Jessica V. Beavers

An Ocala McDonald’s employee who was taken away from the fast-food restaurant in handcuffs earlier this month in connection with a domestic violence incident is back in jail.

Jessica V. Beavers, 30, was arrested Tuesday after she violated the conditions of her pre-trial release. She was transported to the Marion County Jail where she was being held without bond.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy was called to the apartment on SE 29th Street Tuesday where the original incident took place earlier this month. The deputy spotted Beavers sitting in a chair in the front yard. She said she was “out on bond for domestic battery but needed her clothes from the location.”

When the deputy told Beavers she wasn’t allowed to return to the residence or be within 500 feet of it, she said she “did not remember” the conditions of her pre-trial release.

Beavers was first arrested earlier June 4 after an altercation at her apartment turned violent before she arrived at her fast-food job. A man at the apartment told deputies that Beavers had attacked and scratched him after a confrontation over who would use her car. She told the man she had been called into work and needed her keys, but he told her he needed to buy milk first.

Beavers, whose initial bond was $500, is scheduled to appear in a Marion County courtroom Feb. 24 at 9 a.m.
