A Marion County sheriff’s deputy was called Monday after a kayak turned up missing from a popular Weirsdale restaurant.
The deputy spoke by phone with a subcontractor at Eaton’s Beach Sandbar & Grill, located at 15790 SE 134th Ave., who reported a blue kayak and two paddles missing. He said the items were stolen sometime between 6:30 p.m. Sunday and noon Monday.
The man said the kayak is worth $1,000 and the paddles are valued at $45 apiece.
