Randall Scott Hinkle, age 77, died August 27, 2018 at his home in Lady Lake, Florida, with his wife of 30 years, Connie Garner Hinkle and loved ones at his side. Randy was born and raised in Indiana and lived in Dayton since 1970.

In 2015 he and his wife moved to Lady Lake, Florida.

He is survived by sons Skylar and Scott Hinkle, of Dayton, step-daughter Karen Willhide Ranta (Kevin) of New Berlin, WI, brother Woodrow Hinkle (Susan) of Ravenna, OH, sisters Kristin Hinkle Johanson (Bill) of Muskegon, MI, and Susan Hinkle Schroeder (David) of Fayetteville AR. Randy was also the proud grandfather of granddaughters Emily and Casey Hinkle, Brooke, Madison and Kylie Ranta. He is also survived by three nephews, two nieces, five great nephews and one great niece.

Randy enjoyed a long career as a corporate pilot for NCR and loved his hobbies of model trains, model airplane building, jazz music, sprint car races, gardening and all his granddaughter’s sporting events and activities.

A Celebration of Life in Dayton, Ohio will be held on October 6. Details will be sent to family and friends.
