The Visual Arts Association of The Villages will present its Fall Fine Arts Show on Saturday, Sept. 22 from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m. at the Rohan Recreation Center.

More than 70 artists representing many mediums will have their artwork available for sale. Convenient boxed lunches also will be available for purchase.
Several artists work in more than one medium. Publicity Chair Iris Kaplan, a watercolorist and sculptor, is heavily involved in pastels.
“Working with pastels gives the piece a certain luminosity,” said Kaplan, during a break while teaching new students recently at Moyer Recreation Center.
The Visual Arts Association, formed in 1995, meets monthly, except for July and August. The group’s next meeting will be Friday, Sept. 21 at 10:30 a.m. at La Hacienda Recreation Center. The program will feature Ocala-based artist Nina Fairchild Lovill.
