This past Tuesday saw Week Three action in the Central Florida League.
Team Koller only needed five innings to defeat Palm Ridge Dental 15-0.
Marty Berger led Koller with four hits. Adding three hits each were: Howard Charney and Ron Crane. Manager, Jim Joseph, and John Leone drove in three runs each with a pair of hits. Don Melcher had a triple and a sacrifice fly to add two runs for Koller. Palm Ridge Dental got a pair of hits by manager, Ken Scanlon, and Scott King. Five other players managed to get hits as Jim Joseph held Palm Ridge to just nine hits.
Paul Davis Restorations bested Gators Brownwood 13-7.
Paul Davis’ first three batters, ob Kelly, Mike Jeffries, and Bob Buchanan provided the offensive spark as each had three hits. Fifth batter, Ed Haith
also had three hits and a pair of rbi’s. Jim Boerman as cleanup hitter drove in three runs with a pair of hits. Gators got two hits from Frank Murth, Charlie Clare, Chris Iorio, Mark Isom, and Fred Hughes. Don Evans drove in a pair of runs with a sacrifice fly and a single.
Arden Jewelers took the lead early and held of a late charge by Fross & Fross to gain a share of first place as they won 15-13.
James White drove in four runs with four hits including a three run homer. Adding a pair of hits were: Maury Fjestad, Verne Benson, Mark Hildebrand, Bill Sass, Paul Isenberg, Terry Baughman, Tom Bortle, and Peter Daub. Fross was led by the four hits each by Jim Morton and Paul Robinson. Tim Wilcox and Jack Nagle chipped in three hits and drove in five runs. Adding a pair of
hits were: Pat Perkins, Bill Nisbet, Mike Labetti, and Tim Carroll. Don Brozick drove in a pair of runs with two sacrifice flies.
Synergy Wealth snagged a share of first place by beating IHOP 13-11.
Tom McGann led IHOP with three hits. Contributing a pair of hits were: Chick Cicatelli and Gary Roth. Bill Reed had a two run homer in the third inning. Rich Bergman and Leroy Yoder drove in two runs each with a single. Synergy had three hits by Gary Coleman and a pair each by: Gary DePalma, Dale Neff, Ray Bedford, Vernon Brooks, and Tom Latona. Bud Ramsey drove in two runs with a double and John Kushner drove in two with a triple and a sacrifice fly.
Babiarz Law scored in every inning after the first to best Humana 11-3.
Babiarz was led by Rick Murgittroyd’s three hits and two rbi’s. Adding a pair of hits were: Ken Link, Jim Wiegand, Bob Winder, and pitcher, Duane Miller. Winder had an opposite field triple to drive in three runs and scored on a single by Tom Aldridge. Humana got a pair of hits from Art Anton, Jim Kitzler, and Dave Oatley. Anton accounted for two runs and Oatley drove in the third.
