Ira Duane Wible

Ira Duane Wible, age 78, passed away on October 18 in The Villages, FL. Duane was born in Meadville, PA and was the son of Gilbert and Norma (Baker) Wible.

He was raised in Reno, PA and graduated from Cranberry Township High School.

In 1962, he graduated from Grove City College with a degree in business and a commission in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Miami during the Cuban Missile Crisis, New Jersey, Germany, and Florida. After leaving the military, Duane worked in retail management and worked for non-profits gathering and reporting data.

After retiring in 2005, he and his wife, Ruth, moved to The Villages where he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing clarinet with the New Horizons and Hometown bands.

Duane is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth (Bogert) Wible, and his two children: Karen Yancone (and her husband Chris) and Bill Wible (and his wife Deborah). He is also survived by six grandchildren: Ryan, Madelyn, Brady, and Haley Wible and Marissa and Nicholas Yancone.
