Project Legacy, a nonprofit organization devoted to meeting the needs of children in the community, will host two patriotic concerts.
“An Honor to Our Veterans” will take place on Sunday, Nov. 11. Two show times are available, one at 3 p.m., followed by a second at 6 p.m. The concerts are being held at Heritage Community Church, 509 W. Berckman St. in Fruitland Park. The cost of admission to either show is $15, with net proceeds benefitting Project Legacy and Beyond the Walls Food Pantry.
The concert will feature Big Band Style Music by the Double M Band, along with popular Villages entertainers Billie Thatcher, Jan Lavin and Alex Santoriello.
“I am very excited to be able to honor the veterans in our community through such a talented group of entertainers,” Project Legacy President Kay Wilson.
Tickets are available for purchase by calling Barbara Reynolds at (352) 217-8423. Project Legacy is a continuous supporter of Beyond the Walls Food Pantry, a local resource to the Fruitland Park community. Donations of non-perishable food items are being collected at the door to help support their needs.
