The Community Development District 2 Board of Supervisors on Friday agreed to tap into reserve funding to pay for sinkhole repairs at a problematic pond.
The repairs at Lago De Leon in the Village of Alhambra totaled up to $100,000.
There have been 420 cubic yards of grout injected at the pond to fill in the sinkholes.

Over the past decade, CDD 2 has spent $78,000 repairing sinkholes at that particular pond.
Village of Alhambra residents packed the Aug. 10 CDD 2 Board of Supervisors meeting to express their unhappiness with the condition of the pond.
