Myrna Ann West

Myrna Ann West (Carter), 72, of Leesburg, FL, passed away peacefully in her home Thursday, November 15, 2018. Myrna was born March 10, 1946 in Owensboro, KY to Walton and Imogene Carter.

She grew up in Centertown, KY where she was a member of West Point Baptist Church. She resided in Centertown, KY, Chicago, IL, Central City, KY, Aurora, KY, and finally Leesburg, FL.

Myrna was an LPN nurse who loved many of her patients as if they were family. She loved to sing, play the piano, and she enjoyed crafting and decorating for holidays with “bling”. While she was a registered Democrat, she would avidly state, “I vote for the man, not the party!”

Myrna is survived by:her husband: Beau M. West of Leesburg, FL; children/stepchildren; Melinda Ann Seaton and her husband Jeffrey Seaton of Centertown, KY; Christy Gene Ewing of Gainesville, FL; Veronica Richmond of Leesburg,FL; Boyce Mark West of KY and Dennis Clay West of Hardin, KY; grandchildren: Quennon Ewing and his wife Kristen Ewing of Tampa, FL; Tiffany Fulton of Cromwell, KY; Bradley Fulton of Hartford, KY and nine step grandchildren.Siblings: Richard Walton Carter III of Bowling Green, KY an pet Bridgette (a jack russel). Myrna was predeceased by a sibling Christopher Carter 9/22/2013.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, November 19th at 7 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, 1123 W. Main Street, Leesburg, FL 34748.
