
A man driving on a suspended driver’s license was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine after a traffic stop in Lady Lake.
Christian Brock Deboer, 31, had been driving a brown pickup at about 10 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 near Lady Lake Town Hall when he was spotted by an officer who had an encounter with Deboer about 90 minutes earlier at Target at Rolling Acres Plaza. During the incident, the officer became aware that Deboer’s license was suspended. Deboer was banned from Target during the earlier encounter.
After a traffic stop, Deboer was arrested on a charge of driving while license suspended. He was transported to the Lake County Jail and during the booking process, a piece of foil containing methamphetamine was found in the breast pocket of his shirt.
He was booked on charges of driving while license suspended, possession of methamphetamine and introduction of contraband.
Bond was set at $14,000.
